The Quack

I'm the Quack. No not a Quack. At least in this case. For our purposes I'm The Quack, to the Duck. The voice, the communicator, the scribe.

I am the Duck's sister, no really, that's why I'm here. Momma and Daddy wanted to be sure she wasn't an only-child. So along came the Quack. I'm also the family prodigy, I have 3 family (1 aunt and 2 grandmas) namesakes in my first (formal:Catherine and familiar: Katie/Kate) and middle name (Lorraine) alone.  Really, some days I just feel like the bookend on their family.

We're 3 years and 9 months apart, but the term "big sister" and "little sister" are a little fuzzy. I'm taller, she's older. People thought I was the college student, at 15... and she still gets carded for beer.

We're terribly similar and complete opposites all too much. I'm the introvert. The writer, the baker, the bookworm. She's the outgoing athlete. We share a passion for music, family, and entertaining.

I'm in Wine Sales, and will pitch the Napa Valley to any traveller I find. I've been blessed by my travels and feel like my exquisite experiences have built me for the Hospitality industry. I want to be sure anyone that comes to our area gets the best of experiences.

I think the world was built to be explored and experienced; wine and food are my favorite defining characters of any city. I have so many stories to tell, so many things I think could be shared and the very best of them involve Duck.

DUCK

Somethings you should know about the duck...

So there's a slight chance she's not really a duck. Just named after one. Daddy's been a hunter all his life and when he and momma had a mini-huntress they were going to name her Susan. Simple sweet Susan.
However, 20 some-odd hours into the birth of Susan, the nurse commented that maybe simple Susan wasn't so simple, and wasn't very Susan.

So Susan became Teal. Unusual, very few like her and a little difficult most of the time. (The rest of the time she's really really difficult.)

Teal is currently 28, and a late September Libra. Like mostly Libra's I know she needs everything to be balanced for her to be comfortable. By balanced I mean enough chaos and calm to keep her satisfied. She has one Bachelors, and enough medical certificates to save your life. Especially if you're not in a hospital.

Beginning the Adventures of the Duck and the Quack

My sister and I are quite a pair, we've had quite a set of adventures. We've done great things, we've done mischievous things, we've done scary things... and we've had quite a slew of things happen to us. Especially when we get together, we hear "you guys really should write a book" quite often.

I don't know that a full book is in the works, but this may be a start. I'm the blogger, the scribe, the writer between the two of us. So while I'll be sure to get my sister's side of things, you'll hear mostly from me. So let's get started...
